Cheers to Self-Care!

If there is one thing I've learned from 2020 it is the importance of self-care. As an entrepreneur, you constantly pour yourself into your business in order to serve others. But one cannot pour from an empty cup.

What do you do to fill your cup?

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a #staycation at The Kimberly Hotel in NYC. This stay was exactly what I needed to rejuvenate my mind, body, and soul. Great views and even better service. I will absolutely be back ❤

Upon arriving I was greeted by the friendliest staff. Although I had arrived early the front desk manager, Kurt, checked me in right away which I was so grateful for. The lobby was beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations that made me feel right at home. After pursuing around a little bit and gawking at the huge aquarium I headed up to my room to get settled in.

Due to the CoronaVirus and me just needing to give myself as much rest and relaxation as possible I chose to spend my entire time at the hotel. Luckily the hotel was more than comfortable and accommodating during my stay. They did their very best to make me feel right at home.

During my stay I treated myself to a soothing bubble bath, at DIY pedicure, some journaling, room service, and catching up with one of my mentees, Briy! I am actually really proud of myself for taking the initiative to do this staycation when it was offered. It was empowering to embark on this adventure for the sole benefit of my wellness.

I would highly recommend to any woman feeling like she just needs to get away to just GO FOR IT! Book that room, sis! It doesn't always have to be some glamorous getaway either. Just take the time to change your scenery, get some fresh air, and just do what YOU want to do! You will thank yourself.

Check out my vlog of my arrival and photos below to get a glimpse of my first day of staycation at The Kimberly Hotel!

On day two I invited Briy, one of my mentees and agency models, over to the hotel to join me in getting some awesome content. She brought over some looks and I did my creative director thing! Not only am I proud of her for seeing the value of the opportunity but I am really proud of how she showed up and SHOWED OUT. Check out the pics below!

Follow Briy on her modelpreneur journey as well!

Let me know in the comments below what you think of my work! Also if you're planning a staycation for yourself I would LOVE to hear about it!
